It is a small panel inspired by the work of Alma Tadema, a 19th century romantic painter. This work follows a theme that I have visited before, namely that of combining perspective with time to suggest depth of history as well as space. The symbolism of the thread leading to the centre is taken from the Greek myth of Ariadne, a theme with many symbolic overtones.

I love this stunning Anu print ! It was packaged well and delivery was speedy, thank you. The quality of this print is astounding; I have wanted one of Jake's prints for a long time, it was better than I had hoped! Absolutely beautiful! She is more than beautiful and an inspiration to me. I was delighted to come across Jake's art. The process of discovery and acquisition of the print have been wonderfully human and pleasant. Mark is an absolute delight in correspondence. I can't wait to have the print back from the framers' and hang it on my wall. I may just place a chair before it and sit with it when I feel in need of a meaningful conversation.
