The Elements represented a complex system of metaphor and symbol that kept the best minds of ancient times busy for thousands of years. They are part of a larger group of symbols belonging to the Tree of Life and its adjacent philosophy. Most of us have heard of the four elements, yet as we uncover the clues left by the philosophers, we find that there were no less than six pieces of the puzzle. Together they form a map of Heaven and Earth and describe man’s place within it.
It has been a while since I last produced a series of works simultaneously as opposed to consecutively. That is, I have worked on them all at once, bringing each painting to completion at the same time.
We have transformed the Great Goddess Oracle Deck paintings into limited edition art prints. In collaboration with Marcel Salome of Re-Art, we have produced two distinct and unique editions.
I recently finished a large painting and consider it one of my brighter moments. At some point I realized what I was making had a name, so this now is her title.
